• To recognize and promote exemplary work by organizations and individuals in the field of disability.
• To honor the resilience of people with disabilities.

• A screening committee will delineate procedural criteria, invite as well as shortlist nominations.
• Nominations will be invited from persons and organizations fulfilling eligibility criteria
• The committee will shortlist five nominations in each category
• The top five nominations will be verified and shared with the selection committee

The award will be given in two categories;
1. A Role Model NGO/Institution
2. A Role Model with/without a Disability

Category A: A Role Model NGO/Institution in India
• Working in the disability sector for more than 5 years
• Committed to uplifting the life of people with disabilities.
• Working on community-based rehabilitation approaches
• Showing impact in the lives of persons with disabilities and in communities.

There will be two awards in this category;
a) One Organization from CHAI network
• Award Prize is Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakhs Only)
b) One Organization from outside CHAI network
• Award Prize is Rs. 2,00,000/- (Two Lakhs Only)
c) Commendation Awards to 01 organization from CHAI Network and 01 organization outside CHAI network
Award Prize is Rs. 10000/- (Ten Thousand Only)

Category B: A Role Model with/without a Disability in India
• Engaged in the disability sector for more than 3 years
• Has been active at local or regional level in bringing a change in his/her community
• Has advocated for the rights of persons with disabilities
• Has been a significant leader and role model for others in the community

There will be two awards in this category.
a) One person from CHAI network
a. Award Prize is Rs. 1,00,000/- (One Lakh Only)
b) One person from outside CHAI network
a. Award Prize is Rs. 1,00,000/- (One Lakh Only)
c) Commendation Awards to 01 individual from CHAI Network and 01 individual outside CHAI network
Award Prize is Rs. 10000/- (Ten Thousand Only)
